SportLine models join Octavia range
Popular trim and model join forces for added appeal
Skoda have introduced their SportLine trim into the Octavia range for both hatch and estate models. The suave and high-spec versions follow the same treatment to the Karoq, Kodaiq and Superb line-ups, and sits only below the range-topping vRS models.
The Octavia SportLine receives a front spoiler, grille, door mirrors and rear diffuser insert in aggressive gloss black finish. A rear spoiler also comes with hatch models, in the same finish, and all Octavia SportLine models ride on 18-inch Vega alloys – that're once again black, but do feature silver detailing.
Standard equipment builds on that of the SE model, by adding Amundsen sat-nav and an 8" touchscreen, plus there's integrated WiFi, smart light assistant and rain sensors to guide the windscreen wipers.
There's also LED headlights and daytime running lights, plus the main lights are adaptive numbers. There are sports seats in the front and a sporty three-spoke multi-function leather steering wheel.
Options for filling the engine bay include a 1.5-litre TSI petrol unit, or a 2.0-litre TDI diesel – both producing 150bhp. The diesel comes with a seven-speed automatic transmission as standard, whilst the petrol has a six-speed manual but can be upgraded to the same auto.
Pricing for the Octavia SportLine starts at £23,870 OTR for petrol hatch, whilst the diesel estate acts as the other bookend with a price of £27,860. Both are available to order from Skoda dealerships now and first deliveries are expected to begin in April.
