Citroën Completes Origins Lineup
The C1 and C3 Aircross get the celebratory makeover
A while back, Citroën announced that, as they were turning 100 this year, they'd celebrate with some special edition Origins models. Firstly, the models getting this treatment were the C3 and C4 Cactus, but they've now been joined by the C1 and the C3 Aircross.
The C1 will come with a non-metallic Lipizzan White paint option as standard, with Gallium Grey, Carlinite Grey and Caldera Black hues also on the table. It sits on 15" Planet alloys finished in black, to match the contrasting roof.
Inside, the C1 is upholstered in Grey Heather cloth featuring gold-stitched detailing. Bronze air vent surrounds match those around the gear stick and the centre console. The look is finished with a final flourish of Origins branding appearing on the floor mats, side mirrors, the rear pillars and the tailgate.
It's a similar story with the C3 Aircross, which comes in Natural White with a contrasting black roof as standard, with the options of Cosmic Silver, Platinum Grey or Ink Black metallic also available. However, the black contrasting roof only comes as standard with the Black option. Being a bigger car, the C3 Aircross sits on bigger 16" Matrix alloys than the C1, but too are black. The front light surrounds are bronzed, as are the door mirrors, and the interior is also a grey cloth with gold stitching.
The C1 is based on the Flair trim, so it comes with a reversing camera, Hill Start Assist, a 7" touchscreen with mobile integration plus it has automatic headlights and air conditioning as standard. Based on the Feel trim, the C3 Aircross comes fitted with Citroën Connect Box with SOS & Assistance, Citroën Connect Nav, mobile integration, rear parking sensors plus automatic headlights, sensors, air conditioning and the rear view mirror will also dim itself.
Pricing starts at £13,830 for the C1 model – which is a five-door powered by a 72bhp 1.0-litre VTi petrol with a manual 'box and equipped with stop-start abilities. The C3 Aircross is a110bhp 1.2-litre PureTech petrol model, with a six-speed manual and will cost from £19,355 on the road.
